Noise

Please consider this my 6th and final complaint regarding the noise in apartment 5. Rent will be withheld up to and until the situation is rectified. I reached out to the tenants multiple times before the “meeting” was held at my store and the situation still has not been remedied. 

The tenants in apartment 5 are in the kitchen all day, every day, into the night, banging, blending, chopping, slamming cabinet doors and talking loud enough for me to hear them. The floor creaks non-stop.  If they are home they are banging around. The only time it is quiet is if they are sleeping or not home. My bedroom wall backs up to the kitchen and the noise has affected my physical and mental health. I have chronic health issues and chronic pain and I need to be able to lay in bed whenever I please and not have to listen to constant banging and noise. I do not sleep, I cannot rest, I am in a fog, I am irritable,  I am exhausted and I refuse to live this way. I dread coming home. As soon as I hear them walking up the steps I know the noise is going to start; I wait a bit - until I can’t take it anymore - and go into the living room.  I have lived in countless apartments all over the country; many different apartment buildings, multi-families, complexes, etc., and I have never, NOT ONCE, had to make a single noise complaint about a tenant. 

I believe the kitchen is the only room they are in unless they are sleeping. I feel like I am losing my mind. Clearly, no matter how many conversations are had about it they do not care how their behavior affects others. I have been sleeping in the living room to avoid the noise, just like I only used my bedroom in the other apartment because Mike and Amanda made it impossible to use my living room and NOTHING was done about it. I have a right to quiet and peaceful enjoyment as per my lease; by not ensuring this basic right you are in breach of the lease. 

You are welcome to come hear for yourselves what I’m dealing with. It is like chinese water torture. 

Re: fees; I have not had a chance to add everything up, I have not had time and I have been exhausted. That will be sent within the next week.
